More on Ferguson
The New York Times is trying to piece together the events that led up to the race riots in Ferguson, just outside St. Louis, Mo. According to the autopsy, Michael Brown was shot six times–twice in the head and four times in the arm. None of the bullets were from behind, as “eyewitness” reports suggested that the policeman was shooting Brown in the back as he surrendered. Brown and his accomplice were stopped walking down a busy street (not using the sidewalk). Brown had a “fistful of cigarillos” that a video tape shows he stole from a liquor store minutes before the incident. From there, the story of Brown’s death is diverse, with the police saying one thing and others saying another. Enter antagonizers.
Benjamin L. Crump, the lawyer for Brown’s family, used inflammatory words in his statement to the media, “The sheer number of bullets and the way they were scattered all over his body showed this police officer had a brazen disregard for the very people he was supposed to protect in that community. We want to make sure people understand what this case is about: This case is about a police officer executing a young unarmed man in broad daylight.” Dr. Michael Baden, who was hired by Crump and is the former chief medical examiner for New York City, said, “In my capacity as the forensic examiner for the New York State Police, I would say, ‘You’re not supposed to shoot so many times.’ ”
The Muslim-dominated and inspired New Black Panthers have been leading rallies and protests in Ferguson according to various news accounts, one of which shows an alleged Black Panther leading a chant asking “who do we want?” The crowd responds with the name of the officer, Darren Wilson. Then they are asked, “How do we want him?” The crowd responds, “Dead.” According to the gatewaypundit.com, a communist group The Revolution Club Chicago (Revolutionary Communist Party) bussed protesters into Ferguson under the banner “Fight the Power, and Transform the People for Revolution!” The New Black Panthers are also instigating protests and trouble.
Professional race-baiters and false preachers Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton also visited Ferguson, according to twitter accounts replete with pictures. Jackson got booed for “passing the plate.” Sharpton incited the crowd by accusing law enforcement of a smear campaign by releasing details on the robbery leading up to Brown’s death. Sharpton then added that the rioters should turn toward Washington, rather than looting and burning. Here we go…this “president” and his “attorney general” have so pitted race against race by their refusal to enforce laws and to speak calm into volatile situations that many are emboldened to lawlessness. As Christ said in Matthew 24:12, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Iniquity can be translated as sin or lawlessness. We are seeing such first hand.
