Heavy rains are expected to strike New Mexico this week thanks to remnants of Tropical Storm Odile (oh-DEEL’)…..
Severe weather from the Tropical Storm will move across New Mexico bringing possible flooding and thunderstorms.
Flash flood watches are in effect through Tuesday evening in parts of southern and central New Mexico along the Rio Grande and in the state’s southwest mountains. Forecasters say the storms will be capable of producing 1 to 3 inches of rain during short periods, creating the threat of flash flooding.
A weakening Tropical Storm Odile will move from the SW to the NE across New Mexcio thru the week-end.
