From ICEJ News: Reports out of northern Syria indicate that Kurdish forces have had some success pushing back against the Islamic State (IS, formally ISIS) terror militia. “We will fight them with all that we have,” Nawaf Khalil, a spokesperson for Syria’s Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) told AP. “Those [IS] can only be deterred by force.” He added that Kurdish forces “are ready to join any political coalition to strike this terrorist group. We are fighting, on behalf of the world, the terrorism of (IS).”
