The 222nd Anniversary of The White House

This week marks the 222nd anniversary of an American icon: the White House. On
October 13, 1792, the White House’s cornerstone was put in place in a quiet
ceremony. Yes, Philadelphia wasn’t happy that the new city of Washington was
getting the president’s executive mansion.
