Here is what I want to share with you……..on the flesh……….the politicians in this country think everything can be governed….a new law needs to be passed……….nope it’s all about God and His Word! Amen!

Our flesh is so powerful.
As fiercely as the spiritual war rages all around me, the battle is every bit as fierce within me, and the outcome as consequential. My flesh has no interest in giving up. How about yours?
We don’t get to be couch-potato Christians—-merely saying what we believe and then letting Jesus do the rest as we go back to the Internet. Our flesh, our inclinations and physical body , is playing for the other team, for the dark side.
And Scripture warns us to be vigilant against the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16-17), to flee from youthful lusts (2 Tim. 2:22), and give no opportunity to the flesh (Gal. 5:13) , which implies something particular about me and what I need to do in the face of these enemies.
If I’m fleeing and giving no opportunity to my flesh, I’m doing something and going some where. The fact is that we must defeat the inclinations of our flesh. That which is defeating us must itself be defeated by choosing to ignore these unhealthy inclinations, choosing instead to do what the Bible tells us is right.
