ALBUQUERQUE – Health and safety advocacy group, Protect Women & Children NM, calls on State House, Secretary of State and Auditor candidates to return political donations from well-known Dallas late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd. Boyd operates the largest late-term abortion facility in the nation, Southwestern Women’s Options, in downtown Albuquerque.

“It is despicable that late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd is using money made from dismembering and discarding unborn children up to nine months of pregnancy to buy our state elections,” said Elisa Martinez of Protect Women & Children NM. “It is even more disgusting that Emily Kane, Liz Thomson, Tim Keller and Maggie Toulouse Oliver would accept a donation from this abortionist who has made his fortune skirting Texas laws to operate in New Mexico, a state that has no common-sense regulations or restrictions on abortions. You can only wonder whether these candidates will have New Mexicans’ best interest at heart or protecting late-term abortion if they are to get elected.”

Secretary State Records show the following candidates received the following from late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd:

·         Emily Kane received $1,000 June 23, 2014

·         Elizabeth Thomson received $1,000 June 25, 2014

·         Joanne Ferrary received $1,000 June 9, 2014.

·         Maggie Toulouse Oliver received $1,000 June 9, 2014

·         Teresa Smith de Cherif received $1,000, September 30, 2014

·         Stephanie Garcia Richard received $1,000 June 9, 2014

·         Kenny Martinez Leadership Fund received $150 June 10, 2013

·         Tim Keller received $1,000 September 5, 2014

Curtis Boyd is a Dallas resident who operates in Albuquerque because New Mexico is one of the few states that allows for abortion until the very day of birth – all nine months of pregnancy-for any reason.
