Yesterday I shared a tribute to my Uncle HD Price and how we celebrated his 100 years of life this past weekend. If you haven’t read that post yet, click here: Celebrating 100 Years

Here’s a short synopsis of what I gleaned from my Uncle HD:

1. Live a godly life

In other words, live out daily what the Word of God teaches us. Follow Christ!

2. Laugh more

Even though his wife was at the ER instead of at the party, he laughed with family and friends. He smiled. He admitted to me his concern, but wore a smile anyway. When we laugh at trials in this life, it confuses the devil and runs him off because greater is He that lives in us than he that lives in the world. (1 John 4:4)

3. Worry less

He handed out cards that read: No Plans, No Money, No Worry

We get too caught up in the cares of this world and it zaps our energy. He lives out what it means to trust in, lean on, and rely on the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6).

4. Work hard

He worked hard all his life. Even after retirement, Uncle HD stayed busy never slowing down. Pastor Paul Holt explained in The World We Live In podcast yesterday that God ordained work since the Garden of Eden.

Uncle HD is an example of how to live long and prosper by living a godly life, laughing more, worrying less, and working hard. His life is impacting many lives all for God’s glory alone!

Prayer Request Update:

Uncle HD’s wife, Redah came through the surgery. Her gallbladder has been removed yet there are still serious concerns for the recovery. She is in ICU. Please pray for Redah, HD and the family as well as the medical team. Blessings to you all!
