Would you join me and say a prayer to God?
Dear Heavenly Father, through Jesus the Christ, I would just like to pray for Dewey’s Daily Cup Family that you will open up their understanding of your knowledge in the way you are delivering your knowledge. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Will you take this journey with me through God’s Word?
The Christian gains victory by putting off the old nature and putting on the new nature, which is in Christ Jesus.
When you starve the old human nature as you have; and accept the new spiritual nature of Christ –you are beginning to build Christ into the character and integrity of who you are, and whom you were made by God to be! Feed on your new nature, which is the spiritual nature of Christ. Learn God’s message to you daily in the Word of God and apply your understanding of God’s will for you though His Holy Word and by His Holy Spirit.
Now, let’s go to the Word of God and learn more about how to walk in the Holy Spirit! Oh, listeners how wonderful it is to let God guide you through His Word!
Will you open up your Bible with me to learn God’s Word?
Galatians 5:16 says:
Keep in Step with the Spirit
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Galatians 5:17 teaches:
17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
Romans 7:18
18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.
Jesus is our ability to say no to sin!
Father, we thank you for the revelation knowledge that you have given for DDC family; and we pray for Dewey and every reader here today. We pray that you will enable them to grow in your knowledge and make them strong; and we pray that they will continue to grow in your knowledge and fulfill the purpose you have for them. We ask you Father in Jesus Name. Amen.

Brother Dewey,
Bob and I went to see the movie “A Matter of Faith” on Saturday. It centers around a young college girl brought up in the faith who is blinded by a Biology college professor teaching evolution. It’s remarkable how quickly she begins to believe the professor could have a point since she comes from a Godly home. When the college student’s dad agrees to debate the professor, she does all she can to get him to back off. How many times may we be tempted to back off. Our Lord and Savior didn’t back off. When it would have been much easier to say “I’m not going to endure this suffering for the world”, He stood strong and stretched out His sinless hands and died for us. As conversation began about the movie in Sunday School one of our attendees made the statement he believed the egg came first. Scripture in Genesis Chapter 1 verses 24 and 25 we see this, 24And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. “And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” We cannot turn away from our faith and our beliefs. If we are able to speak we need to share creation with the world.

We have a praery need here and a praise report on Kathy Merlock, Pastor Dewey’s neighbor! Kathy was rushed by ambulance to the Heart Hospital in Albuquerque yesterday for a suspected heart problem, but her heart turned out to be excellent! The discomfort in the area is not her heart. Kathy will be seeing a specialist about this. Her husband Norm wants us to all PRAISE GOD on the excellent report on Kathy’s heart! PS WE ALL KNOW KATHY HAS AN AWESOME HEART!!! Please keep her in your prayers and healing from the discomfort! In Jesus name, Amen!
