24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
Matthew 7:21
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me (Luke 9:23).
Lord, we want to be true followers of Jesus Christ. Today, we take time to examine right where we are in denying ourselves and DECLARE you are our God. We step in 100 percent today and will not look back. You are our God and we will follow you (take time to ask him where you are on the journey). Today we say YES to your WILL and to your WAY. We Will follow you wherever you open the door. Lord we want to be your witnesses. Amen
