The Washington National Cathedral has opened its doors to a Muslim prayer event hosted by members of the Muslim Brotherhood. The historic cathedral held Friday’s service to help foster more understanding and acceptance between Christians and Muslims around the world.
The event, which occurred Friday November 14th, occurred on the anniversary of the last “Caliph” of the Islamic world declaring a holy war on all non believers. Just a few months later, a jihadist genocide of Christians occurred on a massive scale, resulting in the deaths of millions.
That was 100 years ago to the day.
The Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in the City and Diocese of Washington, operated under the more familiar name of Washington National Cathedral, is a cathedral of the Episcopal Church.
The cathedral is the seat of both the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, Katharine Jefferts Schori, and the Bishop of the Diocese of Washington, Mariann Edgar Budde.
In recent years the Cathedral has led the way in the move away from biblical based doctrine.
Dean of the National Cathedral, Gary Hall stated, “We’re a faith community… This essentially was the time to come together and pray.” Praying to the one true God while others are praying to a false god?
The namesake of the Cathedral, the Apostle Paul, asked a question that applies to this event.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? -2 Corinthians 6:14
Why are churches equating the one true God of the bible with the false god of Islam and their idol worship? Believers beware. God does not tolerate mixed worship. He does not allow light to mingle with darkness as there is no darkness in Him at all.
