News of the Tuesday morning terror attack in Jerusalem sparked a massive outpouring of joy and celebration on Hamas affiliated websites and social media accounts, including anti-Semitic cartoons, videos, songs and posters lionizing the two attackers. However, the attack garnered condemnation from most world governments, including Turkey and even the tiny Persian Gulf Emirate of Bahrain. US President Barak Obama issued a statement that “There is and can be no justification for such attacks against innocent civilians,” while US Secretary of State John Kerry put pressure on the Palestinian Authority to condemn the attack and tamp down their own inflammatory rhetoric which Israeli officials said was largely to blame for the poisonous atmosphere which preceded it.
