New Mexico Election Round-Up with Pastor Dewey

No big surprises in New Mexico last night, Governor Susanna Martinez wins another term, she did not have any competition as Gary King, the worst Attorney General in New Mexico history,  lost the election the day he announced he was running. New Mexican’s had no choice but to vote for Martinez who has had little success as Governor as the state is in an economic mess with a high rate of crime and poor education, residents moving out of state, we are losing our young people, not backing right to life issues, not standing firm for marriage as she just let the Supreme Court run over her and the state.  Many more problems that linger from the Richardson days. Did I mention the “White Elephants’? The Spaceport and Rail Runner? The debt we taxpayers are paying on these two projects started by Richardson and continued with Martinez is just plain awful!  Everybody can put their pom pom’s away now and deal with this serious problems! By the way, Martinez knowing she had the election in the bag, spent millions on getting elected, even up until the last days!

Tom Udall defeated Allen Weh, for the U.S. Senate. I thought there was an outside chance that Weh would pull of an historic upset! Why can’t Weh win an election? Udall says “We all have to work together” Yep, Just put your Mister Rogers sweater back on Tom and you will go back to your “normal self”

Steve Pearce won over his opponent Democrat Roxanne Lara to retain his seat as U.S. Rep. for New mexico’s 2nd Congressional Dist.

Ben Ray Lujan was reelected to the U.S. Rep seat for the 3rd Congressional Dist in New Mexico. Lujan defeated Republican Jefferson Byrd.

I believe New Mexico finally has an Attorney general in Hector Balderas! He is a man who has went after Republicans and Democrats that break the law! I have great hopes for this young man! We have had an empty seast in that office ever since Gary King was elected. Balderas defeated Republican Susan Riedel. To me this is the best new New Mexico gt last night. Hector Balderas is a good man! I might add here, that I am a registered Independent.

Now this is so puzzling….maybe this should not surprise me.Why did the Republicans run Michael Frese against Michelle Grisham? His first commercials where with his Mother-in-law? They did a comical  stint? It was supposed to be funny but it was really dumb, playing off family ties and his last name. We, the voters were to take this guy seriously? Why was he picked? Michelle Grisham is very popular on New Mexico, I believe if she wants to, some day she could run for Governor and be elected. If the Republicans want to defeat Grisham, then get serious about running a good candidate.

No matter who has been elected, after the millions and millions and millions of dollars that were spent, we are still in a nation of enormous debt and we are on the verge, or maybe we are a;ready over the cliff?, as we kill babies in this country everyday,  of being morally broken. Will this change? News and Views-Dewey

  1. Now that there’s a second term, maybe the Executive will find her voice regarding conservative-oriented issues, such as the rule of law (immigration), right to life (abortion), Christian values, the sanctity of marriage (so-called same-sex marriage), and better leading and supporting her own productive and dedicated state workers. I don’t vote my wallet; I vote my convictions. Similarly, elected officials should stand up and speak, regardless of potentially hurting reelection, as they weren’t voted in to be voted in again, they were voted in to represent constituents’ concerns and values – thus the term, “representative democracy.”
