Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Wow! Today I feel so close to God..He is so warm and tender.
As many of you know the CUP was founded by God to be a praying ministry.
Just read these words that I cannot get out of my head, heart and soul from Charles Spurgeon:
These words preach so powerfully and peacefully ! Amen!
“I will pour water upon him that is thirsty.” Isaiah 44:3
When a believer has fallen into a low, sad state of feeling, he often tries to lift himself out of it by chastening himself with dark and doleful fears. Such is not the way to rise from the dust, but to continue in it. As well chain the eagle’s wing to make it mount, as doubt in order to increase our grace. It is not the law, but the gospel which saves the seeking soul at first; and it is not a legal bondage, but gospel liberty which can restore the fainting believer afterwards. Slavish fear brings not back the back-slider to God, but the sweet wooings of love allure him to Jesus bosom.
“Their prayer came up to His holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.” 2 Chron 30:27
Prayer is the never failing resort of the Christian in any case, in every plight. When you cannot use your sword you may take to the weapon of all-prayer. Your powder may be damp, your bow-string may be relaxed, but the weapon of all-prayer need never be out of order. Leviathan laughs at the javelin, but he trembles at prayer. Sword and spear need furbishing, but prayer never rusts, and when we think it most blunt it cuts the best. Prayer is an open door which none can shut. Devils may surround you on all sides, but the way upward is always open, and as long as that road is unobstructed, you will not fall into the enemy’s hand.
In every condition, whether of poverty, or sickness, or obscurity, or slander, or doubt, your covenant God will welcome your prayer and answer it from His holy place. Nor is prayer ever futile. True prayer is evermore true power. You may not always get what you ask, but you shall always have your real wants supplied. When God does not answer His children according to the letter, He does so according to the spirit. If thou askest for coarse meal, wilt thou be angered because He gives thee the finest flour? If thou seekest bodily health, shouldst thou complain if instead thereof He makes thy sickness turn to the healing of spiritual maladies? Is it not better to have the cross sanctified than removed? This evening, my soul, forget not to offer thy petition and request, for the Lord is ready to grant thee thy desires!
POWERFUL SWEET!
The need is great in America and in the world for help…………………….
This is from the Christian Bible Reference Site:
The apostle Paul wrote:
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. (NIV, Romans 12:6-8)
Each of us has something to offer. We can give our money and our time to charity, be a friend to someone who is sick or lonely, do volunteer work, or be a peacemaker, teacher or minister. We may give unselfishly of our time to our spouse, children or parents. We may choose a service-oriented occupation, or we may just do our everyday jobs with integrity and respect for others.
It would seem that the more we give to others, the poorer we become, but just the opposite is true! Service to others brings meaning and fulfillment to our lives in a way that wealth, power, possessions and self-centered pursuits can never match. As Jesus said,
For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give — large or small — will be used to measure what is given back to you.” (TLB, Luke 6:38)
Obligation to Those in Need
Helping those in need is one of the major themes of the Bible and of Jesus’ ministry. As far back as the thirteenth century B.C., the Hebrews’ law institutionalized assistance to the poor:
When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien: I am the LORD your God. (NRSV, Leviticus 19:9-10)
Through service, we give others the things they lack, and we find meaning and fulfillment to our own lives. Both the Old and New Testament writings give many examples of the importance of service and charity:
He who despises his neighbor sins, but happy is he who is gracious to the poor. (NAS, Proverbs 14:21)
“Feed the hungry! Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be as bright as day. And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. (TLB, Isaiah 58:10-11)
And the crowds asked [John the Baptist], “What then should we do?” In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.” (NRSV, Luke 3:10-11)
But whoever has the world’s goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? (NAS, 1 John 3:17)
The Bible tells us to share generously with those in need, and good things will come to us in turn. We are not meant to live hard-hearted or self-centered lives. This is never made clearer than in Matthew 25:31-46. A greedy, miserly life leaves us devoid of anything but an empty craving for more possessions, more power or more status.
He who gives to the poor will never want, but he who shuts his eyes will have many curses. (NAS, Proverbs 28:27)
It is not necessary to be a wealthy philanthropist or a full-time volunteer to make a meaningful contribution. Rather, we should give generously of whatever wealth and abilities we have, no matter how small the amount.
And [Jesus] looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury. And He saw a certain poor widow putting in two small copper coins. And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them; for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.” (NAS, Luke 21:1-4)
Let us pray over all the messages we are reading today on the CUP!!!

This is just plain wrong
According to the DOE, U.S. oil production hit a record 8.97 million barrels of oil per day last week! Oil production is booming in North Dakota and Texas! ENERGY INDEPENDENCE FROM THE EVIL MID-EAST! WHY IS THIS NOT A HEADLINE ON EVERY TV AND RADIO STATION? WHY IS IT NOT A HEADLINE IN THE NEWSPAPERS??? This is a huge reason for America to celebrate! This what happens when the government gets out of the way and let America be America, letting the American worker be the American worker! With the Republicans taking charge will this help with more energy production? Will it help get the Keystone pipeline going? More here:

Oil prices rebounded slightly Wednesday on signs of stronger-than-expected
demand in the United States, which is the world’s biggest consumer of crude.
The market was also partly lifted by unconfirmed reports of a possible pipeline
blast in top oil producer Saudi Arabia. More here:https://news.yahoo.com/oil-prices-tumble-further-us-energy-report-151629502.html
Very disappointed in the voter turn out in New Mexico. It makes me ask have New Mexicans given up? Are they so very tired of the Republicans and Democrats? When I was in line to vote 99% of the people told me that they are fed up with all the grid lock and lies from both parties. We will now see what the Republicans will do, it is their turn at bat, the tragic thing is Obama is still the Umpire and I think we are going to see the situation in our government get much worse before it gets any better, it will take Obama leaving office for any real change to happen in Washington. With that, can the Republicans stop their infighting and come together to select a viable candidate? That is the million dollar question! Only 511,000 of the 1.28 million registered voters in New Mexico voted, that’s just 40%!!! Don’t forget that we are to occupy until our Lord returns, we are not to surrender to evil.
Now that the Republicans have waved the victory flag and their pom pom’s, it is time for them to get to work and face the real world. Get to work, do the things you promised!
