Good day to you!
A friend asked me to reflect on Romans 8:28-29, where God works all things together for good…with good being defined as becoming more like Christ.
I am following a nudge from the Holy Spirit to share this with you today! I hope this is a blessing of strength and joy to you to know that God loves you! And, for you to know that even if you are going through a difficult time, you can come out stronger, spiritually, than you ever were before you went into this difficult time!
My testimony of Romans 8:28-29: Grace is with us through the Storm, by Karen Rowe November 15, 2014
Yes, these Scriptures are a beautiful expression of God’s love for man-kind!
As far as my perspective:
When I went through the cancer stuff –I knew it was not just for me!
We pray the prayers that the Holy Spirit tells us in our spirit to pray and in this case, the Holy Spirit’s prayer in me was, “Father, if it is possible, remove this cup from me. Never-the-less, Your will be done.”
You see, I knew in that moment that the only reason I was going through that, was –one for me to grow in my faith and trust in God –(which I did) Praise God; but also (2) was to go through something –with the Lord; so that I could be prepared to encourage another in their faith along my way. … JUST like I met people, who I still ponder if they were angels that God put in my path at every corner I turned; and were with me through everything I had to face.
I love this! Thank you for the opportunity to reflect from my heart!
Romans 8:28-29 English Standard Version (ESV)
28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[a] for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
God bless,
Karen Rowe
