PLO Sniper to Pro-Israel Preacher!

Tass Saada is living proof that God can completely change anyone’s life. Born into a Muslim family in Gaza in 1951, he grew up with a deep hatred of the Jews. Following Israel’s crushing defeat of the Arabs in the 1967 Six Day War, Tass joined the PLO militia and trained to be a sniper. But after moving to America years later, Tass had a supernatural encounter with Jesus that totally changed his life. As Tass began his new Christian walk, the Lord dealt with him about his hardness towards the Jewish people. It was not easy, but Tass began to pray for the Jews and to see God’s plan in bringing them back to the Land of Israel. He eventually moved back to the land himself and today has a ministry based in Jericho called “Seeds of Hope,” which seeks to bring reconciliation between Jews and Arabs. Now Tass has written about his fascinating journey of faith in a book entitled “Once an Arafat Man.” In his biography, Tass recounts how God confronted him about his anger towards his former enemy and how he came to accept all that the Bible has to say about the Jewish people and their Promised Land. And at the recent Feast of Tabernacles gathering in Jerusalem, Tass also shared his dramatic story with thousands of Christians from all over the world. PLO Sniper to Pro-Israel Preacher! That’s our focus this week here on Front Page Jerusalem. We’ll bring you excerpts from the message delivered by former PLO fighter Tass Saada at the recent Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. He spoke of the great turnaround in his life from being an Arab militiaman filled with hatred for Jews to a born-again Christian with a heart for Israel.

Israel and the Kingdom of God!
The Gospels are rich with the many parables of Jesus and his inspiring teachings on the coming Kingdom of God. Many of his sermons begin with the words, “the Kingdom of God is like unto”. He also told his disciples that the Kingdom was breaking out around them and that the violent take it by force. And for many Christians down through the centuries, this was considered a new message about a soon-arriving Kingdom of God that was being introduced only in the New Testament. Yet the truth is that the Kingdom was already there in the Old Testament in the form of the nation of Israel. But it was being transformed and passed into the hands of the Jewish followers of Jesus who would finally bear its fruits. These biblical truths were laid out recently in a message delivered by Israeli pastor Peter Tsukahira at the 2014 Feast of Tabernacles celebration in Jerusalem. He recounted how the disciples asked the Lord in Acts chapter 1, when would the Kingdom be ‘restored’ to Israel. This meant it had to have already existed within the commonwealth of Israel in Old Testament times. Israel and the Kingdom of God! That’s our focus next week here on Front Page Jerusalem. We’ll bring you excerpts from the message delivered by Israeli pastor Peter Tsukahira at the recent Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. A Messianic leader in Israel for almost 30 years now, he has a global teaching ministry which helps Christians worldwide understand God’s purposes for Israel in our day. Plus, we’ll have an update and analysis on some of the latest developments in Israel and the region.
