Today, let’s pray together scriptures on what a follower of Jesus looks like.
Luke 9:23
If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Matthew 7:13
Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.
1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 3:1
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
John 15:4
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
Father, we, thank you today for abiding in us, and us in you (if he doesn’t abide in you, just ask him – he will). Help us not to love the things of this world, but to love the things you love and hate the things you hate.
Help us God to stay on the narrow path, the one that makes us fishers of men and lover of souls for your Kingdom. Today, we join our Faith across this globe and Declare Jesus Reigns. Amen
