What were they thinking? Bernalillo County Commissioners today selected abortion/gay marriage supporter, state Rep. Mimi Stewart to represent state Senate District 17, once the seat is officially vacated. The Democrats on the Commission won out over the Republicans. Stewart has a very liberal stance on all legislation. In my nearly 40 years in news, I have not seen a more liberal Legislator. I am very disappointed in this choice.

Twelve candidates submitted letters of interest to the County Commissioners for the District 17 seat.

State Sen. Tim Keller currently represents state Senate District 17, located in Albuquerque’s Southeast Heights. Keller, however, was, elected to the office of state auditor.

Stewart is currently in her tenth term as state representative for House District 21, also located in the city’s Southeast Heights.

Now what kind of person will the Commissioners select for Stewart’s seat? This selection of Stewart is a great reflection on the County Commissioners, showing why Bernalillo County Government is such a mess. It just another reckless move by the Democrats. How many lawsuits have County employees filed against the County because of such things like corruption? I have never seen such a mess in County Government in all my years in news.

Pray with me that the County Commissioners will appoint a God fearing person that will stand in the gap for God and His Word. Someone that will proclaim the Word of God.

A person that will follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Bernalillo County commissioners will now appoint someone to represent House District 21. The matter is on the agenda for discussion at the board’s next commission meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 5 p.m. at the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Government Center.

The bottom line here is that Stewart and her teammates have led New Mexico into a great financial and moral crises.
