California Farmers Thankful For Rain

We Thank the Lord for the rains in California. The secular media likes to call attention to the “bad” things that happen with rain, like flooding and mudslides. We must remember that this is part of life. We must take care of our land as best we can to prevent flooding and mudslides. We are always in constant prayer when we hear about heavy rains and snow that know one will get hurt. But we must remember God is in control, we need to recognize our God Almighty, the one who brings us the moisture. We must be good stewards of the land that the Lord has given us, we must know that man does not control anything.God does. We do not bring the rains nor the snow. Have you built your life into the foundation of Jesus Christ? Sometimes I think the majority of Americans think that the Weather Channel controls the weather!  This week’s storm came at a time the Department of Water Resources issued its
initial state water allocation. The state has called for a 10% of normal
delivery but that could change either way depending on the season.

1 Kings 18:41-45

And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is a sound of the rushing of rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Mount Carmel. And he bowed himself down on the earth and put his face between his knees. And he said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” And he went up and looked and said, “There is nothing.” And he said, “Go again,” seven times. And at the seventh time he said, “Behold, a little cloud like a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’” And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.
