They Played The Part of Perfect Christians

There is a great FUNNY BONE in the issue I just got in the mail:

There were two brothers who were very rich, but also very mean. They played the part of perfect Christians, attending the same church. A week after a fund-raising campaign was kicked off for a new church sanctuary, one of the brothers suddenly died.
The other brother went to see the Pastor. Before he could say anything, the brother handed the Pastor a check for 5 million dollars earmarked for the new sanctuary.

“You can have the money on one condition,” the brother said. “At my brother’s funeral, you must say he was a saint.” The Pastor looked at the check and gave his word.

The next day at the funeral, the Pastor said, “Here lies a very mean man. But, compared to his brother, he was a saint.”
