From the Albuquerque Police Dept. Facebook Page: One of our APD Officers was shot during a traffic stop at about 2:35 a.m. this morning in NE Heights Albuquerque. The officer was shot at least 2 times and suffered additional injuries while fending off his attacker. He was able to return fire. The offender fled from the scene and is still missing. Officers are actively searching for the shooter.
We will provide updates as soon as possible.
We ask that you keep the injured officer in your prayers. He is currently in surgery. Thank you.
