Archeologists Display Possible Site for Trial of Jesus

A team of archeologists working in Jerusalem’s Old City have uncovered what they believe is evidence that the trial of Jesus Christ before Pontius Pilate as told in the Gospels occurred near what is called today the Tower of David, which was actually built by Herod the Great and is the oldest structure in the world still in daily use. The site, which has been excavated for 15 years as part of efforts to expand the museum housed in the ancient structure, opened for public viewing this week.
