The East Coast braces for historic blizzard: From Philadelphia to Boston, the northeastern United States is preparing for snowfall that could exceed a metre in some areas, setting records and bringing commerce to a standstill. The National Weather Service has already issued a blizzard warning – meaning near-white-out conditions with winds over 56 kph – from Monday afternoon until Tuesday.
