Thank you for joining us with Dewey’s Daily Cup! I’m Karen Rowe filling in for Dewey today.
It is an honor and a joy to join you on this beautiful Friday morning! Yet, as I write this, the weather may be different in different locations –just as our lives may be going through different seasons of our life.
I was so happy to get up in the wee hours of this morning to pray and write a message to you this morning –because when I prayed I realized the things I was praying for were important; and frankly, if I were sleeping, as I debated this morning; prayers that needed to be said wouldn’t have been revealed to me in quite the same way.
There is a time for rest –and Lord willing, I will not get up every morning this early, but for this day, I am glad to report to you that God is with us!
Will you pray the Lord’s Prayer with me to begin your day also?
These are the words: The Lord’s Prayer, Matthew 6:9-13
9 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
I have a human nature; God made me good, but still –my human nature needs changed by God. I prayed and asked God to reveal to me what to write for you today?
Today, as far as this moment, I am beginning with my morning revelations:
We can trust God!
We can trust that God will change things for us!
We can see that a tree will change a scene –a once plain and empty field will be made beautiful with one grown tree. Yet, that tree doesn’t appear overnight. It begins with a seed and then it begins to grow; and with that growth, we can see changes appear within and around that tree.
Each beautiful thing in God’s Creation changes according to its design. A River will carve a bank. Consistently Running Water will even change the shape of a rock over time; and so will the Holy Spirit change our human nature to become spiritually beautiful.
Later, I will share the links to what I have learned over the last 2 weeks on this topic. Would you like to join me and read more?
If you are parting now, be blessed and thank you for your time this morning.
I will leave you with a summary of what I truly believe is one of Today’s messages from the Lord.
Words are powerful! We either speak blessings or curses to each other.
The words we choose either promote Peace; or furthers the evil’s cause of frustration and fear.
Remember to pray for those who offend you. Prayer is our duty; and if we don’t pray for those who don’t know God’s Way yet –then, who will?
After all, if you are the one being offended, then you are the one God has called to pray.
The Bible holds the treasures of God’s Written Word to us; and teaches us that to avoid causing offense, do the right thing always.
God is God. God is love. God is just.
God is the judge; The Holy Spirit Convicts; our job is to pray.
Thoughts to ponder over your Cup of morning delight this morning as you wake up to face this day in this world with the Lord.
- Maintain your steps in the fruit of the Holy Spirit (… self-control …) –with patience and kindness (…Love IS…) as far as it depends on you –in order that you can pray blessings over others.
- Remember God’s Way Is Jesus; Act with Christ –Don’t React from “human nature” emotions.
- When confronted with anger, remember the #3. 30 Seconds, 30 Minutes, 3 hours, 3 days. The difference in 30 seconds with self-control is that if you give situations time, eventually you will see that things aren’t always as they seem.
There are plenty in this world willing to speak their mind –bringing even more curses over a life that is already begging for spiritual prayers and blessings.
What the world needs is one more like you!
Proverbs 16:3Amplified Bible (AMP)
3 Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.
The world needs Jesus; and the world needs us to reflect who He is!
I hope this is a blessing to your morning!

I just got this prayer need from Angel Murchison who writes for us here at FGGAM, Angel’s Prayer of the Day, she lives in Maine.
Dewey, I rec’d a text from my oldest daughter requesting prayer. Please join your Faith and BELIEVE for my fourth grandson.
This is the what she said… Just wanted to give a little update on our baby. Today we had another ultrasound that showed an increased pressure affecting the blood flow going to the baby. This is likely why the baby has been so small. From what I was told it isn’t something that happens often but it was good we caught it. Every couple days we will have ultrasounds or non stress tests. That means going to CARY 3 times a week now. They will closely monitor the baby and I was told to be prepared because there is a chance I would be sent to Bangor and have to be delivered there. We would appreciate prayers since this is a little scary and there isn’t much we can do to help anything. Just keep up with all our appointments and pray for a healthy baby boy.
Baby Ireland You will arrive on the appointed day Jesus has for you. You will arrive with your life marked by the hand of God. Amen .
Let us pray healing, complete healing, perfect blood flow, in Jesus name, Amen!
Let us pray for young Michael out of Texas who began a two year prison sentence yesterday. We pray for an early release. he has repented. Michael was in a car that had a bag of marijuana in it, Michael was a passenger.
We have several people who we have been in contact with that have cancer, we pray healing over all! In Jesus name, Amen. It breaks my heart with all the people who have this awful disease.
We pray over all the unspoken requests we have received the last 2 weeks, so many………..People who ask for prayer but do not want their name published and we completely respect that, God knows all.
Sharon and I ask for your prayers for our 14 year old Ministry dog Buffy, her health is declining. We are praying that the Lord takes her in her sleep. Buffy is as loving and loyal as they come! Amen! Thank YOU LORD for Buffy!
We are here to serve God and you.
