Israeli medical scientists recently published research about a vaccine for cancer, which kills 8 million people a year worldwide. The Israeli company Vaxil BioTherapeutics, based in Nes Ziona, developed the prophylactic vaccine called ImMucin, which according to the company produces a cancer preventing response in the bodies of up to 90% of patients. “We are trying to harness the natural power of the immune system to fight against cancer by seeking out cancer cells and destroying them,” Julian Levy, Vaxil’s CFO, told NoCamels.com, adding that she expexts the drug to be on the market by the end of this decade.
