Police in Denmark engaged in a shootout Sunday with Danish-born man, identified by media sources as 22-year-old Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein, suspected of killing two people in two separate shooting attacks earlier in the day, one at a Copenhagen synagogue and another at a cafe where a Swedish cartoonist known for drawing depictions of the Moslem prophet was participating in a debate on free speech.
