Al-Resalah, a website affiliated with the Islamist terror militia Hamas, reported on Tuesday that an agent of Israel’s Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) had been captured in the Strip. The report added that the alleged spy had been sending information to Israel for 15 years and that his capture was considered a serious blow to Israeli efforts to monitor activity inside the Strip. In a related development, Hamas officials on Tuesday announced that they had “evidence” that the security forces of their rivals in the Palestinian Authority are passing information to the Shin Bet as well as feeding “false and misleading” information to Egypt in order to turn the regime in Cairo against it.
