Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Naval Force capped their massive “Great Prophet 9” war games in the Persian Gulf this week by “sinking” a wooden replica of a US Navy aircraft carrier. The wooden mock-up, which did not have any of the naval escorts, air cover or other defenses a real American carrier has, was “completely destroyed” by an onslaught of missiles and rockets according to IRGC Naval Force Commander Hossein Fadavi, who boasted that his troops could “destroy any American naval vessel in 50 seconds.” Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed supporters Wednesday, saying “World powers committed themselves to preventing Iran from getting a nuclear bomb, but from the emerging accord it appears that they have given up on that commitment and have come to accept the idea of Iran – gradually over the years – developing the ability to make the fissile material needed for many nuclear bombs.” Read More
