Iranian Diplomat Threatens to Quit Negotiations

Flags of the US and Iran (GRAPHIC)High level negotiations between US and Iranian officials over the weekend failed to produce progress in the dispute over the Islamic Republic’s renegade nuclear program, prompting chief Iranian negotiator Abbas Araqchi to warn that his government might pull out of the talks. He added that the clerical regime in Teheran is losing patience with what he described as efforts by the P5+1 nuclear powers (US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany) to “impose their will” on Iran. On Sunday morning, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his cabinet that March will be a “critical” month for the debate over Iran, adding that he found it “astonishing” that the P5+1 talks are continuing in light of a recent report by the UN which said Iran is possibly concealing military aspects of its nuclear program from the International Atomic Energy Agency.
