Besides the worsening situation for Jews in France, the other country of greatest concern to Israeli authorities at present remains the Ukraine. Despite recent reports of a ceasefire, fighting in the eastern part of Ukraine is still very intense, and the human suffering there is compounded by the onset of another harsh winter.
