I was talking to Brother Paul Dokken of South Dakota today and we were talking about the seasons of life. The passing of our doggy Buffy and the birth of our grand child Lilith Evelyn and the teaching and coaching of youth. and his family. I am going to play softball again this year with my friends from Heights Christian and Amistad. Going to take it easy as my knee is not at 100%! NO SLIDING! I enjoy playing with the younger players….Today’s quote of the day is a Bible verse! …….Paul referred to Psalm 71:18:Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.

I praise God for friends like Paul and Rene Dokken, pictured below. It is so important to have Godly friends. Thank you Paul and Rene for being our friends!

Paul and I went to school together in Windom, Minnesota, he graduated in 1973, me in 1974. Believe it or not we reconnected when Paul found the Daily CUP on the internet about 4 years ago or so!
