U.S. Denies Cutting Israel Out of Iran Negotiations

Senior US officials flatly denied reports in the Israeli media over the weekend that Washington has cut Israel out of the loop regarding negotiations with Iran over its renegade nuclear program. “This report is patently false,” National Security Council spokesman Alistair Baskey told the Jerusalem Post. “We also continue our frequent and routine contact at various professional levels within the intelligence, military, and diplomatic spheres.” The comments were in stark contrast to a report earlier on Sunday by Israel’s Channel 2 news program which characterized the White House as “incensed” at Israel’s conduct on the Iran file and ready to proceed with its own agenda regardless of Israeli objections.
