ICEJ NEWS REPORTS: Attacks against Jews in the Diaspora
Jewsish people The Ahavas Torah Synagogue in London’s Stamford Hill neighborhood was the scene of an ugly encounter Sunday, with approximately 20 inebriated youths breaking furniture and threatening people inside the synagogue, including the use of anti-Semitic slurs. Police said they’ve increased patrols in the area but believe the attack was random and unplanned. Elsewhere, a Jewish cemetery in northern Hungary was vandalized over the weekend, smashing several graves and even removing bones from coffins and scattering them. Government officials condemned the vandalism. The incidents came as Israel’s Counter-Terrorism Bureau issued a warning Sunday that global jihadi elements are looking for Jewish and Israeli targets to attack in Europe.
