U.S. Army Buys Israeli Surveillance Equipment

The Israeli defense company RT announced on Wednesday that the US Army  has listed one of its products, the Skystar 180 surveillance aerostat, as an approved defense technology for purchase, putting it on the shortlist for pieces of equipment the Pentagon would like to add to its inventory. The system has already seen extensive use by the IDF and Israel Police. “The selection and approval of the SkyStar 180 by the US Army is evidence of the system’s quality and its high-level technological capabilities, and it is a great honor for us,” said RT’s CEO, Rami Shmueli. “Our unique aerostat systems are the only long-distance aerial surveillance system that can operate from as high as 600 meters.”
