God’s Word in Isaiah 58:7 teaches us…..Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter– when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
My heart breaks for all those that are homeless. Having true compassion is feeling the pain of those hurting, I feel the pain. I have felt the pain. My brother was homeless for 8 years. We must not ignore this problem. Many just dismiss the homeless as mentally ill, drunks, drug addicts and beggars, you can’t label all with that just like you can’t label all of society as drunks, druggies, murderers and thieves. Here in Albuquerque many homeless people had set up a “Tent City” and they have been removed from different sites. I do not have the answer for this problem, but the love of Jesus, true compassion and prayer for these people. At the new “Tent City” they have a sign that says, “All people have the right to survive: Dignity Community Safety” This comes at the same time the New Mexico State Senate is debating anti-abortion legislation….all people have the right to survive….If you have a place to live and a cup of coffee this morning, let us pause and pray for babies and the homeless……Homeless campers in Albuquerque find another place to stay, but evictions already planned https://dlvr.it/8vP4hl
Maybe instead of building bigger Churches we should build housing or tents on the grounds of the Churches in America to house the homeless, beds, showers, and food. Maybe Churches should consider setting up their own “Tent City”
Let us not hide from these problems, God knows all, sees all, what are we doing?
I weep for the babies that are murdered through abortion, I weep for the homeless in America, the greatest country ever.
Many Churches across this great country are answering the call of the babies and homeless, we just need more to rise up!
Ephesians 5:1 teaches us…..Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
Romans 12: 9-10 teaches us……Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
