Oswald Chambers who said it best, “Prayer is not the preparation for the work; it is the work. Prayer is not the preparation for the battle; it is the battle.”
In closing, I am reminded that the only thing the disciples of Jesus ever directly asked him to teach them was how to pray, and the result was the Lord’s Prayer, a very simple, direct and expressive appeal to our heavenly Father for help (Luke 11:1-5).
