The border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia has been the scene of intensifying ground fighting in recent days, claiming at least one Saudi casualty as the Houthi rebels have reportedly resorted to suicide bombing attacks and the widening of the conflict to include Saudi airstrikes against tribal militias allied with the Houthis. Aid groups are complaining that both sides in the conflict are engaging in human rights abuses and war crimes. Meanwhile, a Saudi air strikes on the Faj Attan military base in the Houthi-controlled capital of Sanaa Monday evening resulted in massive secondary explosions which killed dozens of civilians, according to medical sources.
