This morning the Lord impressed on me CHRISTIAN FRIENDSHIP, showing the love of Jesus Christ to all. I wrote a couple of posts on friendship, then I looked in the FGGAM comment section and found this treasure of love. It’s from friends of Chuck Ring and his wife Carol, who recently passed away. It was an awesome celebration of Carol’s life at Valley View Christian Church this past Monday! Her life Preached! The life of Chuck Preaches! Do our lives Preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ? Here is the love letter I want to share with you from Dean and Jessie Stuyvesant:
On May 4th, my wife and I attended the memorial services for Carol Ring. Our friendship goes back to 1969 when I was assigned my duty station with the New Mexico State Police in Las Cruces after graduating from the academy. I had met Chuck at the academy as he was one of the instructors. Chuck and Carol invited us to stay at their home while we searched for a place to call home. Upon finding a house to rent, Chuck and Carol set things in motion by getting utilities connected. They also collected items to set up house as our furniture and belongings were in Pennsylvania where we moved from. After a short time Chuck an I were assigned to work together on the same patrol. Chuck was one of the best partners a person could ask for. He continued to teach me in many areas of responsibilities as a state police officer. Our families became good friends during this time. Sometime later Chuck and I went in different direction with assignments on the state police. We later came together again with being assigned to the same division. Once again our families were brought together. We worked together until I transferred to another division and eventually left the department. Chuck and Carol and my wife and I remained in touch but as time went on our contact slowly diminished but not completely out of touch. Chuck and Carol were God sent and my wife and I will always cherished their friendship. I know that our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ that Carol in in a much better place and we look forward to a time we will renew our friendship. Meantime, our prayers are with chuck, Kim, and Jeff for comfort and peace during the loss of their loved one. May the Lord bless them and keep them.
