Today let me encourage you to give your whole life to our Lord Jesus Christ, all the way into His arms. This week many people have contacted FGGAM for counsel. People wanting to hear from God. I am thankful they want to hear from God, I do too! I am here to tell you that I do hear from God everyday, several times a day. I am tuned into God. I need to hear from God before I say or do anything. I try not to do or say stupid things. When I get very tired, I may slip up, then it is time to rest. How do you hear God? You get close to Him. There is nothing fancy or ritual about this. You just humble yourself before the Lord and give yourself completely over to Him and His Word and Ways. You cannot hear God if you are so stressed out, so fearful, so angry, or if you are in doubt about God. Psalm 46:10 teaches us…..Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” and in verse 11..The Lord Almighty is with us; the God Of Jacob is our fortress. God has consumed me, I am not bragging here, I am just a simple man, trying to follow God. I love what Peter Marshall, former Chaplain of the U.S. Senate in the 1940’s said, “Spiritual people are not those that engage in certain spiritual practices; they are those who draw their life from a conversational relationship with God” Amen! As I like to say life is one big prayer.
The verse that the Lord has been having me share with people is Isaiah 46:4……I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Let that soak into your heart, soul and mind. Amen!
