Egypt De-Lists Hamas as Terrorist Group!

Political map of Egypt (GRAPHIC)An appeals court in Egypt on Saturday overruled a lower courts determination that the Islamist terror militia Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip and is suspected of aiding in attacks against Egyptian soldiers and police officers in the Sinai Peninsula, will be considered a terrorist organization by the Egyptian government. The labeling of Egypt’s Moslem Brotherhood, the parent organization to Hamas, as a terrorist organization remains in effect, along with that of the Izzadin al-Kassam Brigades, the so-called “military wing” of Hamas. However, Hamas welcomed the ruling, which was a badly needed piece of good news for the group as it battles an increasingly unruly constellation of smaller terror militias vying for the chance to overthrow it and establish an even more extreme terror regime in the Strip. Meanwhile, residents of Israeli communities near the Gaza border are demanding action on the threat from attack tunnels they say they can hear being dug under their homes.  Read More Hamas joy
