Frank Haley of KDAZ AM730 reports: ALBUQUERQUE — Talk about bad timing – during the hottest week of year, the air conditioner stopped working at Albuquerque Rescue Mission – one of the city’s homeless shelters.
The air conditioning stopped working last Thursday, which has made the building too hot to work at. Staff has been sent home the last few days, and it’s keeping them from giving out critical necessities to the city’s homeless.
The shelter spent $1500 on evaporative coolers Tuesday in order to get some work done. A new air conditioning system will cost the Rescue Mission $35,000.
Let us pray for funding for new air conditioning at the Albuquerque Rescue Mission, in Jesus name, Amen!
