Islamic State Threat Draws Closer to Israel’s Borders

Israeli Air Force F-16's (IDF Spokesperson's Office)Amidst unconfirmed reports that Israeli warplanes hit targets belonging to the Lebanese Shi’ite terror militia Hezbollah inside Lebanon Tuesday evening, the leader of Israel’s Druze community, Sheikh Maufak Tarif, issued a statement asking the US to attack positions along the northern border occupied and/or threatened by the Islamic State terror militia and other jihadi groups. Druze communities on the Syrian and Lebanese side of the border, with whom Israeli Druze have close family ties, are threatened by the advance IS and Tarif is petitioning the government of Israel to add its voice to the appeal for help.
