Obama (USDOD Photograph)The full interview US President Barak Obama gave to Israel’s Channel 2 ‘Uvda’ program was broadcast Tuesday evening, with Obama declaring, among other things, that the world no longer takes Israel seriously when it says it is pursuing a two-state solution with the Palestinians. He placed the blame for this situation on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who, Obama said, has “placed so many conditions to (a Palestinian State’s) establishment that it is unrealistic to think it could come into existence in the near future.” He added that “If in fact there is no prospect of a peace process, if no one believes there is a peace process, it becomes more difficult to argue with those who are concerned about settlement construction, more difficult for me to say, ‘Be patient, we have a process here.'” Read More
