REPORT: Albuquerque Temp Reached 106 Degrees Yesterday! 107 in Reserve!

Unofficially, Albuquerque heat broke a date record Sunday with multiple thermometers around town registering 105 and 106 degrees.

But the thermometer of record for the city at the International Sunport logged only 101, not enough to break the official record for the date, which was 103 degrees in 1981.

A scientifically sound but unofficial thermometer at the Rio Grande Community Farm reported 106 and one near the bridge on Montaño read 105.

Still, Sunday was the hottest day since June 27, 2013, when city heat reached 105 degrees.

That’s the second highest – official – temperature ever recorded in the city.

The weather through Thursday will still be hot, but will cool off a tiny bit as a chance of moisture nears Tuesday.

Meteorologists expect the city to reach 100 degrees today, followed by a drop to 95 then 91 degrees through the week.

Pastor Dewey Note: While I was eating lunch in Reserve, NM where I was preaching yesterday, a man told me the temperature had risen to 107 in Reserve! It was also noted that Socorro, NM hit 104!
