So the day draws near that we begin the Reserve New Mexico Baptist Church REVIVAL. Cathy Donovan wants me to remind you that childcare is available during the Revival!
I can’t put words to the excitement I feel to be but a small part of this Glorious Event taking place on August 14, 15 and 16 where I’ll have the opportunity to speak once again and share the joy of our Lord together!
A short time ago, I enjoyed being invited to speak to my precious Brothers and Sisters there where I gave a short presentation to describe and share with them the story of my ‘Re-Birth’ after decades of having the Lord follow my every move through life for over 6 decades now. He was with me each and every day whether I asked for His attendance or not. Unfortunately, many days I did not, yet He continued to remain beside me and I can not begin to count the ‘fires’ He pulled me out of! Then one day after a number of events occurred which to me were rather devastating, along came a young man who I call Pastor Dewey Moede and in the matter of only a second or two, my life changed so dramatically it can NEVER be reversed. A path in which I shall share a spot, made just for me, in Heaven, for eternity where the Lord has told me I shall experience nothing other than pure comfort, joy and peace – FOREVER!!! I tell a story about it and I call that story “Three Little Words”. Many of my Brothers and Sisters at the Church know this story. For those who don’t, I invite you to join us and attend this exciting revival and I shall speak of that story as a part of my presentation. While I can not speak to what all the speakers will say, I know in my heart it is going to be a very heartwarming event in which we will all learn much and celebrate what the Lord has given us and continues to offer us still today!
Today, our country, the world actually, is in so very deep a need to bring God back into our lives; in our homes, in our schools and even in our government and I invite everyone to come join us where we will begin that process. I watch every day in discouragement as God’s children sink further and further into the world and ignoring our Creator and losing faith in Him who has offered us so many very rewarding things to enjoy in life and beyond.
But then, I turn off the phone, the TV, the radio and the computer and reflect upon Him and His word and marvelous things re-enter my mind and the calm and peace He provides me is beyond my human comprehension. While we watch so many things in the world crumble around us daily, I also see an opportunity for the regrowth of the Christian faith. As I watch the horrific things I see happening all around the world, I also see a door; a door that says open me and let’s reverse the ships course and if I close my eyes to today’s horrors, not to ignore them, but to put them into a proper perspective, I see an opportunity to stop the flood waters and place the ship back on course on a path of our return to our Lord and Savior. I like to think of these things I see as an opportunity to commence yet another ‘Great Awakening’ in our great country. And I consider the Reserve Baptist Church Revival as THE VERY BEGINNING OF THAT GREAT AWAKENING!!!
I can not describe the excitement my precious wife Sandy and I feel to be able to return to this wonderful little town and this wonderful church where we will all have an opportunity to celebrate the love of our Lord together!!!
I invite all who can to come and enjoy this wonderful event with us and look forward to meeting even more of the residents of this beautiful town in the New Mexican countryside.
