What Are You Speaking?
Today, let’s pray about the power in our words once again.
Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
James 3:6
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body.
Proverbs 11:13
A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.
Proverbs 16:28
A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.
James 4:11
Do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.
Father, thank you for purifying our tongues. Every person on this planet is important to you. Every life has value and purpose. Our words should build each other up, edify and exhort. Some people are like sandpaper in our lives oh God. This is to sharpen us (iron sharpens iron). God help us to speak life, speak words that help another person be the very best they can be. You are all about loving people and so should we.
Father, where we have failed, thank you for forgiveness and give us strength and strategy to turn conversations around. Thank you for the courage to speak truth to tongues that come our way that are out of control.
All across this globe today we declare our conversations will be edifying to the Lord Jesus Christ. Our words will be life. Amen
Have A Blessed Day, For this is the Day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it.
