Psalm 108:1-5 My heart is confident in You, O God; no wonder I can sing Your praises! Wake up, my soul! Wake up, O harp and lyre! I will waken the dawn with my song. I will thank You, LORD, in front of all the people. I will sing Your praises among the nations. For Your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May Your glory shine over all the earth.
I have been thinking on the LORD and His faithfulness. I wrote in my journal: God has power to do what He promises. Never let anything or anyone make you doubt that He’s able and remember that all His promises are yes and amen. He keeps His word.
We have so many examples of our Father’s faithfulness in the Bible.
In Psalm 107, we read that some were lost and they cried out to the LORD for help and He rescued them and led them straight to safety. Some sat in darkness and deepest gloom, miserable prisoners. They called out for help and the LORD led them from the darkness and deepest gloom. He snapped the chains and bent the bars. Some were in rebellion and they cried out to Him for help. He saved them and spoke and healed them. Sailors saw the work of His faithful love out on the seas. The waters were wild and thrashing the ship around and they were afraid and called out to the LORD for help and He calmed the waters.
David reminded himself and others of the faithfulness of the LORD when he stood up to Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:37 The LORD who saved me from the claws of the lion and the bear will save me from this Philistine!
The LORD told Abram that he would be a father of many nations. He believed what the LORD told him even though he and Sarai were too old to have babies.
Romans 4:20-21 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was absolutely convinced that God was able to do anything He promised.
How about you? Have you cried out to the LORD for help? He hears you always.
Psalm 116:2 I love the LORD because He hears and answers my prayers. Because He bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I have breath!
Psalm 120:1 I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to Him, and He answered my prayer.
Psalm 30:2 O LORD my God, I cried out to You for help, and You restored my health.
Psalm 57:2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
The LORD, our God is faithful and He keeps His promises. To not do so, He would have to deny Himself because He lives in you. His word always comes back fulfilled. Trust Him and believe He will accomplish what He says.
2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
He hears you and He will rescue you. He says what He means and He means what He says.
Today, if you are discouraged, think on the LORD and remind yourself of the times His answers have been fulfilled and if you can’t remember them then read in Psalm 107 and 1 Samuel as a start to refresh your mind on His faithful love. Then look up more scriptures on His faithful love. Don’t give up on Him. He is faithful and He loves you. You are important to Him. Be absolutely convinced that He is able to do anything He promised you. His faithfulness is forever!
Psalm 107:43 Those who are wise will take all this to heart; they will see in our history the faithful love of the LORD.
