Good morning beautiful people. In March of this year, I had the opportunity to be one of the representatives to attend the fifty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations in New York. As I was standing in line, I found myself talking to some of the most interesting people, I have ever met. Several young women asked me to attend a parallel event Women & Girls Across the Generations, in which I did. It really was very touching and I was blessed by their stories and music from this woman’s organization.
They then inquired if I would agree to do an interview. As a radio talk show host, I know how nerve racking this can be when you are asked right on the spot, but I agreed. I shared some of my story from a poor decision in my teenage years.
A few days ago, I was searching the internet for freelance writing positions for women’s magazines. I spoke with Jeannette Bennett from Bennett Communications. Jeannette told me she had put together this video in which I was included Happy People Talk from my interview in New York.
Yes, happy people talk. For me, my voice came alive when I talked about my abortion to another safe person. I found deeper healing through a post abortion Bible study, Forgiven and Set Free, by Linda Cochrane. I completed this Bible study with another post abortive woman at our local Pregnancy Care Center. My voice became stronger and today, yes, I can say I am happy.
Please don’t suffer in silence. If you have been affected by the trauma of abortion, allow me to introduce you to the healing waters of Jesus Christ. I am a woman that has touched the hem of His garment and you can too. He is no respecter of persons. My life verse John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. You do not need to suffer in silence any longer.
