Heads of state from around the world, including US President Barak Obama, UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Russian President Vladimir Putin and even Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, wished the Jewish People a Happy and Sweet New Year as the Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets) festival began Sunday evening. Families all over Israel gathered for special meals and synagogues were full of observant individuals as the first of the “High Holy Days” began at sunset.
