Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu led a delegation of senior Israeli military commanders and Defense Ministry officials on a visit to the Kremlin Monday to discuss, among other things, the deployment of Russian military units to Syria. Russian arms transfers to Syria and possibly Iran were also discussed. “Over the years we have raised our concerns about the transfer of Russian military equipment to the region, where Russian equipment ends up in Hezbollah’s hands,” one government official said.
