WHAT ABOUT THE BABIES????!!!! 

I wanted to share this email with you that I got from U.S. Representative for New Mexico’s 1st Congressional District, Michelle Lujan Grisham. I wanted you to see how deep this battle goes right here in New Mexico! The battle over the lives of babies! I think all of Congress should just go home, they do nothing anyhow. When is the last time Congress has done America any good? It’s up to us to put Planned Parenthood out of business.  I ask Michelle, “What about the babies? What about the selling of baby parts? What about the sanctity of life? So the Democrats campaign slogan is “Death to Babies” I never believed in all my life I would be fighting my own government over the killing of babies! SHAME! Abortion is the greatest assault on women and children. This is just not a Democrat problem, it is also a Republican problem. New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez remains silent as does the Republican Mayor of Albuquerque Richard Berry. SHAME, as Albuquerque, New Mexico is the abortion Capital of America, some tell me of the world, SHAME! 

Dear Dewey,

I have a lifetime of experience fighting for women’s health.

That’s why I’m appalled to see the Republicans threatening to shut down the federal government (again) over Planned Parenthood. In Congress, I have always defended women’s access to reproductive health, including access to abortion, and I am not about to give in now to another Republican tactic that will make it even more difficult for women to access the care they need.

The government does not belong in a personal decision that should remain between a woman and her doctor. Women have the right to cancer screenings, the right to HIV screenings, the right to contraception, and the hundreds of other services Planned Parenthood provides to millions of women in America. You see, one in five women will use services that Planned Parenthood provides. One in five.

I know how important Planned Parenthood can be when you’re struggling to get by. For some, it’s the only doctor they’ll see all year because they can depend on Planned Parenthood to be safe, high quality, and affordable. That’s why we cannot let the Republicans win this fight and defund Planned Parenthood. There are millions of women relying on us to join together, and stop them yet again.

Defunding Planned Parenthood would be devastating to millions of women across the nation. Attempts to defund it are simply attempts to close Planned Parenthood’s door, all across the country. We cannot let the Republicans scare us into shutting down the government. We have to stand strong.
